UI Coherence Diagnostic

A one-week paid engagement for teams considering a larger investment in design systems work but not yet ready to commit. The fastest, cheapest way to find out whether a full design system engagement is the right fit.

Investment and Timeline

$2,500. One week. Delivered remotely.

What is Included

  • A 90-minute screen-share session with your team. We walk through your application together, ask the questions that surface the real pain, and let your team show us where the system is breaking down.
  • A written diagnostic delivered within one week. Findings, prioritized recommendations, and an honest assessment of what a full engagement would cost given what we observed.
  • A 30-minute follow-up call to walk through the diagnostic and answer questions.

What It Produces

By the end of the week, you will know what is actually broken (versus what just feels broken), what would need to happen to fix it, and roughly what that would cost. If a full design system engagement is the right next step, the $2,500 credits 100 percent toward it. If it is not, you have a paid, written assessment you can use internally to plan your own approach.

Who This Is For

Software companies between $20M and $500M in revenue where the product has been built over years (often through acquisitions) and the UI no longer feels like one product. Engineering-led organizations with a VP of Engineering, CTO, or Head of Product who has named UI inconsistency as a real problem.

What Comes Next

The diagnostic typically leads to one of three follow-on engagements:

  • Design Systems for teams ready to build the canonical token system, multi-tool round-trip, and AI-fluent design system architecture.
  • Embedded Design for teams whose underlying issue is the absence of a design function, not a system problem.
  • Rails Frontend for teams that need design plus production implementation on the existing stack.
