From Inauguration to Independent Platforms

Meticulous helped the Digital Sovereignty Alliance and its sister organization, the Digital Sovereignty Foundation, grow from a rapid initial launch into two independent, fully featured websites built with Ruby on Rails.

Our work began in January 2025 with a tight deadline: establishing a web presence for the Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA) in time to co-sponsor a cryptocurrency-focused inaugural gala. Rather than building more than the organization needed at the time, we took an intentional, phased approach. Working with Justin Lee, who developed DSA's final brand identity, Meticulous collaborated on the design and built out DSAF.org throughout 2025. As the organization's work expanded, so did the site, with dedicated content for news, research, events, and its affiliated foundation.

By March 2026, the Digital Sovereignty Foundation (DSF) had developed its own programs, grants, and educational offerings, creating the need for a distinct digital presence. Meticulous designer Ben Mays designed DiscoverDSF.org, while founder John Athayde led the strategy and Rails development for both organizations. Each site features a streamlined custom CMS, allowing staff to manage frequently updated content without the complexity of a traditional page builder, along with Stripe integrations for donations. The sites were handed off to the client's team in July, providing two sister organizations with independent platforms built to evolve alongside their missions.
