Give me a page and a problem. I'll send back the redesign.
I take the UI you already have, pull it into editable Figma or Paper files, redesign it, and hand it back ready to build. AI does the tedious rebuild-the-screen part. I do the part where it actually gets better.

No rebuild-from-scratch. No 40-page deck.

1
Pull it in.
Your live screens go into editable Figma or Paper files. Not screenshots pasted on an artboard, actual layers you can change.
-
2
Redesign it.
I fix the thing that's actually wrong: the flow, the hierarchy, the seven edge cases nobody drew, the four different buttons.
-
3
Hand it back to build.
You get files your team (or your agents) can build from, plus a short note on what changed and why. If you'd rather I build it too, I do that.
It's like as-builts for your app, except the drawings get better instead of just more accurate.
I did this to my own app first.
Hub is the internal tool I use to run client relationships and business development. ~400 layouts in 3 days. About 200 distinct screens, each redesigned in Paper and built for mobile and desktop. From the file to shipped.
One free redesign a week. You get the redesign, I get to show it.
Send me one page and tell me what's wrong with it. I'll redesign it in Figma or Paper and send it back within a week with a short note on what I changed and why. It's free. The trade is that I get to post the before and after.
What you send
- Screenshots or a short screen recording. That's it. No logins, no account access, ever. Most of these screens are behind a login, and I don't want your credentials.
- The problem, in a sentence or two. “Nobody finds the export button” is plenty.
What I do with it
- Real data gets replaced. Names, numbers, emails, all swapped for placeholder data before anything goes public.
- Named or anonymous, your call. Named is better proof for both of us. Anonymous is fine, and your logo comes off.
- One per week. First come, first served. If the week's taken, you're in the queue for the next one.
Showcase terms. This redesign is free in exchange for Meticulous's right to publish the before and after (with real data replaced) on its site and social channels, permanently. If you ask us to take it down or stop using it after delivery, a showcase release fee of $1,500 applies, the same as our paid two-week redesign. We'll remove the posts within 5 business days of payment. If any real or confidential data appears in a published post, we'll take it down at no charge.
Translation: it's free because I get to show it. If you change your mind later, you pay $1,500, the same as our paid two-week redesign. If I screw up and leave real data in, that's on me and it comes down free.
Want more than one page?
Get one key flow (up to 5 screens) pulled into editable files, redesigned, and handed back build-ready two weeks from kickoff.
- One flow you pick (signup, checkout, the settings page everyone hates), up to 5 screens
- Those screens in editable Figma or Paper files
- The redesign, including the states that flow needs (empty, error, loading)
- A build-ready handoff your team or your agents can work from, matched to your existing components where they exist
- One round of revisions and a short walkthrough call
- Want it built too? That's a separate quote.
Price: $1,500
Or keep me around.
Some teams want this every month, not once. A set amount of redesign and build each month, a standing review of what's shipping, and someone who keeps the UI from slowly un-designing itself. Month to month; leave when you don't need me.
Price: Quoted after step 1 (your first redesign).
Who this is for
For
Founders and product leads with an app that works but looks like it was assembled in a hurry (because it was), teams whose UI was vibe-coded into existence, and engineering-led teams with no designer.
Not for
Brand-new products with nothing live yet. Start at contact for that.
Why me
- I've been designing for the web since 1997 and I still write the code.
- I redesigned the Rails Guides for the Rails Foundation. Read the case study
- Meticulous is a one-person studio that brings in specialists when a project needs them. You deal with me the whole way.
FAQ
Why free?
Because showing the work beats describing it, and I need before-and-afters. You get a redesign, I get a post. Fair trade.
Do you need a login?
No. Never. Screenshots or a short recording. If a screen needs explaining, explain it in the form.
What about our customers' data?
It gets replaced with placeholder data before anything is public. If I miss something and real data shows up in a post, I take it down for free.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. Your logo comes off and I won't name you. Named is better for both of us, but it's your call.
What if I want it taken down later?
You can, but there's a release fee of $1,500, the same as our paid two-week redesign. That's the trade for getting it free. (Data mistakes on my end come down free.)
Figma or Paper?
Whichever your team uses. If you don't have a preference, I'll pick.
Is this just AI-generated?
AI helps me rebuild the existing screen in editable form fast. The redesign is me. I've been doing this since 1997, before it was cool, and also before it was uncool.
Will you build it?
If you're on Rails, yes, quoted separately. Otherwise you get build-ready files.
How fast?
The free flip comes back within a week. The paid redesign is two weeks from kickoff, date in writing.
What does the paid redesign cost?
$1,500 for one flow, up to 5 screens. Bigger than that, or want it built? I'll quote it after.
